About me
Thanks for stopping by Sentiment Pottery. My name is Danny Peelish, I am the sole owner/operator of a small pottery studio based in the small town of Sharon, CT. I have always had an inclination for working with my hands since I was very young and am very proud to say I now make a living out of it. I received a BFA in Craft/Materials studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, focusing heavily in the areas of metal working and ceramics.
In fact, before dedicating all my time to pottery, I was a metalworker making things from small scale sculpture to working on larger architectural projects as an assistant. You may notice some of my designs are inspired directly by architectural metalwork. Some of my other influences include flora and fauna, textiles, wooden block prints, and even vintage wallpaper.
I work primarily on locally made porcelain using a cobalt based medium to render my patterns. I am very happy to be able to offer this hand made work to customers. I pay special attention to each vessel as it passes through my hands and the various stages of completion. I hope to imbue good sentiments in all the work and I especially hope they pass on to you, that's where the name comes from.
Thanks,
Danny Peelish
